So after playing around on day 1 of the competition at home I decided to got onto a SOTA SE-009. Unfortunately it got really windy so I headed up to Chantry Car park on the South Downs.

The setup here was a Yeasu 891 45w output. An EFHW inverted V, unfortunately next to a wire fence :( so the SWR was a little variable in the wind and also the radiation pattern would probably be affected.

I meet a fellow amateur up the hill and we spent some time playing radio and chatting for a few hours. Nothing exciting, but you can see the setup in this video.

The QSO's. I'll try to go to a SOTA soon, weather permitting.
