This antenna is our 1kw High Power End Fed Half Wave (EFHW) for your home QTH to meet the newer UK License rules for maximum power.
 
Unlike other manufacturers, our power ratings are based on months of testing using a well-tuned antenna with a Gemini DX1200 1.8-70MHz Solid State Linear Amplifier tunning at the quoted powers for non-contest operations.
 
Built using 3 x T240-52 Fair-Rite 5952003801 cores, 49:1 winding, 3kv 100pF TDK capacitor and all stainless-steel components and our custom PCB.
 
The PCB is double sided track construction like our 56:1 400w design, but with heavier tracks and pads to cope with the increased power. You will also see vents in the PCB to keep the air moving around with the massive case (120x120x90mm). We have also included a pressure vent on the case.
 
We can supply the antenna as a transformer only, or with 80m or 40m band antenna wire options. We can also supply the antenna as an autotransformer if required (please contact us if this is your preference).
 
 
Select 80m band option to resonate on 80m, 40m, 20m, 15, and 10m with no ATU.
 
You can also use the antenna on 30m, 17m and 12m bands, although you may need to use an ATU.
 
Select 40m band option to resonate on 40m, 20m, 15, and 10m with no ATU. You can also use the antenna on 30m, 17m and 12m bands, although you will need to use an ATU with reduced power.
 
If you select any wired option you will also receive a 6 turn compensation coil 2m from the transformer.  There is also a connection for a counterpoise.
 
If you are using the antenna out of the resonance bands, we highly recommend you reduce your transmission power.

The 3xFT240-52 antenna is an extremely efficient antenna from 80m to 10m bands peaking at 91% efficiency at 40 meters and remaining above 82% at the 10m band.
 
Band Options
80m Version - Covers 80m, 40m, 20m, 15m, and 10m bands with no ATU required.
40m Version - Covers 40m, 20m, 15m, and 10m bands with no ATU required.

For  30m, 17m, and 12m bands you may need to use an ATU.
 
Both band options feature our 1.5mm stranded plain annealed copper wire, PVC-coated in black, and include a six-turn compensation coil for improved high-band matching.

Antenna wire is supplied slightly longer than needed—trim or fold back the antenna wire in 5cm increments to achieve resonance
 
Important Notes
Your SWR may vary depending on antenna height, orientation, and surroundings
Always check SWR before use, an SWR exceeding 1.5:1 may damage your transceiver
 
This EFHW antenna is designed for reliability, efficiency, and long-term performance a perfect addition to your amateur radio setup.
 
Lastly, please remember you must use a 1kw rated Common Mode Choke/Line Isolator with an EFHW.  We have several options available in our store.
 
Also do not forget to have 1kw+ rated Coax in your antenna system.
