New for 2026 we have introduced the "FlyTenna SML" part of our premium range of portable antennas.
 
In the same way our original FlyTenna is designed, this antenna has the transformer built into the centre of the winder. However we are now using our AirCore to provide additional voids for additional core cooling for increased performance in the field whilst offering some weather protection.
 
Built around a Fair Rite 49:1 2643101902 core with 90+% efficiency from 40m-10m. The antenna comes with 21.5m of wire, a clips, bag, cable ties, Velcro stap, two tent pegs and 2m x 2 of paracord with clips and tensioners. The additional items will help you deploy the antenna to a fibreglass pole, tree etc.
 
At approx. 272 grams this is a great antenna for portable use.
 
This is a really good choice for 100w SSB and 25w data where higher duty cycles are needed for a longer period (CW/FT8/FT4). It is heavier than our End Fed Half Wave Pota/Sota antenna. However, it is more efficient above 20m and is nicer to deploy.

The antenna will need some tuning to 7.00mhz, or we can provide it pre tuned as an inverted V with the centre at 8m hight (typical deployment height).
